Paul, in 1 Thessalonians (man that one breaks the spell checker every time), is the real deal. He spoke the truth to them and urged them to live lives that were worthy of God. What Paul means is that God has saved us and now we get to live life HIS way – which is the best way! How you livin’?

Today I learned that God is with us! I have always known that and yet it doesn’t always sink in like it should. There have been so many folks I know that are dealing with lose and tragedy this week. It has felt overwhelming for many of them and yet many have told me of God’s presence in the middle of intense sadness! God is good! What are you going through that we can pray for? God talks about leaders. In Psalm 72, Solomon (who is the King) refers to the King.  He asks God to make the King a Godly man who rules in Godly ways.  Usually, we just complain about our leaders.  What if we prayed for them? What if we simply asked God to give leaders the ability to take care of the people the way they are supposed to? Solomon was not perfect and either are any of our leaders.  I say we set the bar (like Solomon does) really high for ourselves and our leaders. Then, let’s all ask God for the strength to lead as God has called us and others to lead.  Cool? Let’s do this thing!
