Day 41 is here at long last!  Exodus 9 and Matthew 13:53-58!

Why won’t Pharaoh listen?  Why does it take all of this trouble?  Why is his heart so hard?  Part of it is pride – part of it is a God thing.  Like I wrote a few days ago – God is in control – not us!  How hard that is for us to grasp?  How much junk do we go through before we listen.  How much pain we endure before we say, “alright God – let’s do this your way?”

Have a great Saturday – start it in the Word: 2 Kings 18, Philemon 1, Hosea 11, and Psalm 72!

God talks about leaders. In Psalm 72, Solomon (who is the King) refers to the King.  He asks God to make the King a Godly man who rules in Godly ways.  Usually, we just complain about our leaders.  What if we prayed for them? What if we simply asked God to give leaders the ability to take care of the people the way they are supposed to? Solomon was not perfect and either are any of our leaders.  I say we set the bar (like Solomon does) really high for ourselves and our leaders. Then, let’s all ask God for the strength to lead as God has called us and others to lead.  Cool? Let’s do this thing!

Wednesday already – wow! Times flies when you are living for God!  2 Kings 15, Titus 1, Hosea 8, and Psalm 68!

How do you do these readings?  Do you see them as a task to be checked off of the to-do-list?  We are reading the very Words of God – the one who make all things.  He always has something to say to us through His Word!  Question is whether we are listening – I mean really listening?  Are we listening or distracted?  Don’t worry about getting through all the readings – but listening as God speaks to you.

Take me for example.  How do I read Titus 1?  Is God saying anything to me?  You bet! God is calling me to live a certain way as someone who proclaims His Word as a leader in His Church.  I believe that as I read – it applies to me.  I pray that you take the same approach to you.  How are these readings calling you to live?  Jesus died for you and we are His children through faith in Him.  That faith calls us to live for Him as His kids.  Personalize these words as God would have you!

Mid week – oh yeah!!!!!!  2 Kings 7, 1 Timothy 4, Daniel 11, and Psalm 55!

Psalm 55:16 -  ”As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.”  How about you?  How about me?  Can we call upon Lord, knowing that He will save us – knowing that in Jesus He had saved us?  Yes we can call upon Him.  What needs to happen for that to become reality?  Lets talk!
