Thank God it’s … you know… Thank God.  2 Chronicles 1, 1 John 1, Micah 7, and Psalm 108-109.

You’ve got a blank check.  Fill it in with anything you want – any amount.  Remember that this Gods bank account we are talking about.  What would you put down?

This actually happened in 2 Chronicles 1.  God tells Solomon to ask for anything and God will grant it.  Talk about a huge blank check.  Solomon asks for wisdom to do what God has called him to do.  How many of us would ask for that?  How many of you would go for tons of cash – you could helps lots of folks with that.  How about more time? I’d go with that one and ask for some cash thrown in.

Problem is that without wisdom cash and time are pretty much worthless.  Wisdom would show you how to use these other gifts.  What a smart move by our boy Solomon.  Using that wisdom for Gods purposes will be another question.  What say you?

Welcome Proverbs! Good to have you on board! Exodus 25, John 4, Proverbs 1, and 2 Corinthians 13

Wisdom is not interested in making much of me. No, true wisdom is only interested in exalting God. Throughout Proverbs we will see what true wisdom is all about – the fear of God is where it starts. He is God and we are not – He has and is the answer to all we could even imagine. Sit at Gods feet and learn how to really live. What is your favorite proverb from Chapter one?
